Volleyball Day 1 and Chalkboard Art – June 2022

Hello everyone,

As junior high school students left for their day trip yesterday, the tension in the high school building was rising. Volleyball day was here! We got lucky with the weather in the morning, as the rain held off to allow students to practice outside. In the gym we could hear the shouts of the players and classmates as they battled. The games are “do-or-die”, which means one loss and you are out. For the winners, a chance at victory on day 2, (as well as no lessons in the morning!)

At the end of the day, 20 classes had been narrowed down to 8. Here is the bracket:

I was in charge of closing the windows and checking the doors yesterday. The school was mostly quiet as almost everyone had gone home, but in class H2E the lights still shone. I poked my head inside, and three students were there, preparing a surprise for their classmates the next morning. This chalkboard mural took my breath away…

H2E, you have a tough game against the sports class tomorrow. But, join your spirits together and good luck!
