Hello everyone,
Here is today’s Bible Talk from this morning. Thank you as always to Ms. Otani for translating it.
Good morning, today’s reading is Psalm 23, 1-6
1The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides mealong the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.5 You prepare a tablebefore me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cupoverflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of theLord
forever.I think it is natural to feel overwhelmed these days. We have all been living with the reality of covid-19 for a couple years now. When I start to get frustrated, or scared, I turn to my faith in the lord as my protector.
As we read this Psalm, we can see that our faith in God is rewarded with many things. Our soul is refreshed, our way forward is revealed, and our cup is filled to overflowing.
Keeping our faith ensures that God’s love will follow us throughout our lives, and that life will be full and rewarding.
