Hello everybody!

Today’s date is a special one, it is February second, 2022, which you can write with all 2’s! In my junior high school lessons last week I talked about some other interesting dates, and then had students make their own. Here is what we talked about:

11/11 – This is pocky day of course. It is also good marketing. Whoever thought of that idea deserves a raise.

1/5 – This one sounds like strawberry in Japanese, so this is strawberry day. Delicious.

12/3 – This one is also tasty, because it is honey day!

Here is what the students came up with:

1/19 – Ambulence day, because that is the number you dial when you need help.

8/31 – Vegetable day. Keep a healthy diet!

6/4 – Insect day. That is when mosquitos are out… I don’t like this one.
