Hello everyone,
Today Mr. Tagawa gave a reading from the bible. It was Luke 6:27-31. You can say this in English as “The book of Luke, chapter 6, verses 27 to 31.”
This is a famous part of the bible where we are told not to get revenge, but to “turn the other cheek” if someone is angry with you. My favorite verse is the last one:
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
In English this is called the “Golden Rule”. Kids learn it when they are young. I remember learning it when I was 5 or 6 years old. If you want to be treated well, you have to treat other people well, even if they are angry or upset. I hope you can try it in your everyday life. Have a good day!
