Hello everyone,
This morning I was in class H2B for the morning meeting. As usual, I wrote the
messages on the board, talked about them, and then had the students check with their partner to make sure they understood. As I was reading them, item number 5 sounded funny to me.
A black tea bottle is in the school office.
When you read it out loud, it sounds like two different meanings: A) Is the colour of the bottle black, and it has tea inside? Or B) Is there black tea in the bottle which is only used for that kind of tea?
The confusion, of course, comes from the fact that a black bottle and black tea share the same word. So which do you think it was?
