Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

I hope you enjoyed your holiday Monday. It was “Ocean Day”, so did you go swimming? I didn’t, but I did drive along the Hanshin Expressway and saw the water. Do you know what else I saw? My favorite building in Osaka. The DoggyMan building! It is right by the highway, and it is in the shape of a dog. If you see it at night, the whole outline is lit up. How cool!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After I saw that, I searched for some other cool buildings in Japan. Can you guess what they are?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This one is the Meiji Chocolate Company building in Osaka. They offer free tours if you are interested. Maybe that could be our next field trip idea… only if they give out some free samples!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This one is in Hamamatsu and it is the Shunkado headquarters. They make sweets as well, like the eel pie, and their idea was that sweets bring families together at the table. So, now their whole building is a table!<\/p>\n

But these kinds of buildings are not only in Japan. They are everywhere. My favorite one is in Ohio, USA. I think you can imagine what kind of company this is…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>That’s right, it was a basket company. The “handles” are even heated so that the snow doesn’t stay on them! Bad news… the company went out of business. Good news, it is for sale! So, if you’ve ever wanted to have a basket building, now is your chance. (You just need $8.5 million dollars…)<\/p>\n
