<\/a><\/p>\nAlmost one year ago, on February 6th 2023, there were numerous large earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. In response, Professor Akiyama from Wakayama University and Mr. Batbold thought of a plan to help. They raised money to send some\u00a0Ger<\/em>, or Mongolian tents, to provide shelter to people who had lost their homes. Because of our generosity, we raised more than 140,000 yen.<\/p>\n In our lives we are often asked to give money for a cause. Recently we donated money for victims of the Ishikawa earthquake. It is rare, however, that we see the results of our fundraising. The money, we imagine, goes to a good cause, but we can’t see the end result. That is why today was so important. We could see the results of our efforts face to face. I hope that encourages everyone to become more involved in efforts that go toward improving the lives of everyone, both at home and abroad.<\/p>\n Thank you Mr. Akiyama for another wonderful experience!<\/p>\n
