Hello everybody!<\/p>\n
Today’s date is a special one, it is February second, 2022, which you can write with all 2’s! In my junior high school lessons last week I talked about some other interesting dates, and then had students make their own. Here is what we talked about:<\/p>\n
11\/11 – This is pocky day of course. It is also good marketing. Whoever thought of that idea deserves a raise.<\/p>\n
1\/5 – This one sounds like strawberry in Japanese, so this is strawberry day. Delicious.<\/p>\n
12\/3 – This one is also tasty, because it is honey day!<\/p>\n
Here is what the students came up with:<\/p>\n
1\/19 – Ambulence day, because that is the number you dial when you need help.<\/p>\n
8\/31 – Vegetable day. Keep a healthy diet!<\/p>\n
6\/4 – Insect day. That is when mosquitos are out… I don’t like this one.<\/p>\n
